The slightly-tweaked-for-2026 Thomas Dargie Run Course has been revealed! Interactive TrailForks maps, complete with detailed trail information, can be viewed on the appropriate “race info” page: Sprint or Standard. If you prefer a text description, read on . . .
The route consists of two “loops.” The Sprint course is just the first loop, while the Standard course continues on to include the second loop as well. The loops are the same as in past years but in reverse order, so that if you’re doing our Sprint event for a second time you’ll get to run an entirely new course!

THE 2026 THOMAS DARGIE RUN COURSE
Loop 1:

- Start: BodyNetix T2 at Village Park (“Race Central”).
- Exit the park via the path behind the Coal Hills BMX track and enter the trail network via the narrow bridge just after the interpretive sign. On race day, the aid station will be just on the other side of this bridge.
- Continue running straight about 200m until you get to the intersection with Davis Lake Main. Make a slight left and then immediately turn right onto Iron Curtain.
- Climb Iron Curtain all the way to the top, making sure to not go astray at the intersection with Rapture (it can be confusing).
- At the top of Iron Curtain, turn left onto the minor logging road.
- After about 100m, turn left onto Cottonwood Climb.
- Descend for about 200m, then turn right onto Rapture.
- Follow Rapture all the way to Two Shoes, then turn left onto Two Shoes. (Be careful not to accidentally veer right off of Rapture toward the road.)
- Descend Two Shoes all the way to Davis Lake Main.
- At the bottom of Two Shoes, cross Davis Lake Main (the logging road) and continue straight ahead onto Munday’s Child.
- Descend Munday’s Child (it’s more of a double-wide trail at this point), making sure to stay to the left where it meets the extension of Tunnel Canary (as it’s called on TrailForks)
- Soon after Munday’s Child curves to the left near the Trent River Main, turn left onto Wednesday’s Child
- Climb Wednesday’s Child until just before it spits back out on Davis Lake Main, then turn right onto Thursday’s Child
- Follow Thursday’s Child all the way to Munday’s Child (it briefly becomes “Friday’s Child” toward the end as it curves to the left), then turn left onto Munday’s Child.
- Take Munday’s Child to the end where it spits out above the BMX bridge (at the aid station where you began).
Sprint Athletes: Turn right, cross the BMX bridge and run back to Village Park (Race Central), where the finish line awaits! Your race is done.
Standard Athletes: You’re not quite done yet. Continue straight across past the aid station and onto Josh’s.

Loop 2 (Standard course only):
- Continue along Josh’s for about 250m, then turn left onto a short spur that spits out onto Davis Lake Main at the bottom of Ascension (“Rapture Access”) and 50:1.
- Cross Davis Lake Main and head straight up Ascension (“Rapture Access”).
- At the trail intersection, turn right onto Rapture Genesis.
- Keep following Rapture Gensis, being careful not to accidentally turn back onto Ascension or Resurrection. (It can get a bit confusing if you’re unfamiliar with the trails. . .) Pass the trailhead to Top of the Pops, then turn left at the fork to stay on Rapture Genesis (going right will get you to the same spot, just slightly lower/longer).
- You’ll spit out on a part of Rapture Genesis that is essentially a quad track. Veer left onto this section, which eventually turns back into singletrack and weaves through some nice alders.
- Keep following Rapture Genesis all the way to the Rapture Chair (you’ll know it when you see it.)
- At the Rapture Chair, turn left onto 50:1.
- Follow 50:1 all the way until it spits out onto the minor logging road. Continue pretty much straight across to stay on 50:1.
- Just after a short, steep (and often dry and loose) section, you’ll once again come to Rapture Genesis. Veer slightly right to stay on 50:1.
- Continue descending 50:1 until it spits out onto Davis Lake Main. Turn right.
- Follow Davis Lake Main for about 100m, then turn left at the intersection to head back toward Village Park.
- Cross the BMX bridge (you’ll pass the aid station here for a final time on race day) and continue straight into Village Park. You made it!
- Hit up Cumberland Brewing Company for a nice cold Forest Fog!
