Welcome to Dodge City
About Cumberland, BC
To wannabe travel writers, it’s the Village in the Forest. To locals, it’s an eclectic and wildly unpredictable community of free-spirited individuals, where the ghosts of Ginger Goodwin and countless forgotten coal miners share the streets and alleys with a new generation of fiercely independent Islanders and stoke-chasing urban refugees. But to those of us who crave the mud beneath our shoes, or the intoxicating rush of shredding dirt trails carved from the gnarly slopes of some of the Pacific Rim’s most inviting rainforest, it’s nothing short of legendary. This is Cumberland, BC. Welcome to Dodge City.
World-Class Mountain Biking
The little village with the big reputation
Cumberland used to be known for its sprawling coal mines but today, against all odds, it’s known as one of Canada’s raddest trail communities, with an energetic personality, hip independent shops and trendy eateries serving up everything from gourmet burgers and overstuffed burritos to hearty pub fare and Japanese fusion cuisine. But don’t take our word for it:

The Cumberland Forest: Pride of a Community
Carved primarily through working forest, Cumberland’s trail network is accessible thanks to an innovative partnership between the landowners and the community. The nonprofit United Riders of Cumberland (UROC) manages trail access and maintains the trails, while the Cumberland Community Forest Society (CCFS) works to purchase plots of land and reintegrate them into the Commons. We’re proud to work alongside both of these fantastic organizations, and we're grateful to have the trust and support of the region's private landowners.
Please Note: Frontrunners Fit Chiropractic Dodge City X features a technical mountain bike course that’s not ideal for beginner mountain bikers.
